Later on, leaving the Lotus Eaters, Odysseus and his men were then captured by the one-eyed giant , the Cyclops Polyphemus, who herds them like sheep and eats them after fattening each one. When Odysseus run across a Cyclops' deserted cave, his men want to steal but Odysseus won't let them. Odysseus wants to be presented as good guests so they do an offering to them. However, the Cyclops responds wasn't what Odysseus hoped for. The Cyclops rejected their offering closed the cave and ask where their ship had been left, and Odysseus tell them that they had being shipwreck by Poseidon. The Cyclops gets two men and eats them. He then goes to sleep. They wait for him to wake up and have breakfast, . NA for breakfast, he has some of Odysseus men, luckily, not him. When the Cyclops leaves to tend his flocks, Odysseus makes a plan, he tells his men to dig in a wooden pole and sharpen the end. When the Cyclops comes back, Odysseus offers him wine, which made him drunk, he tells him that his name is Nohbdy, and passed out. Then they Drive the pole straight into the Cyclops's only eye and get him blind. The Cyclops makes a big scenario so the other Cyclops get out of their cave and ask what was wrong. Polyphemus says that "Nohbdy" has tricked him. The others reply that if nobody has play foul on him, they will go back to their caves. However, they reveal information that Polyphemus is in fact the son of Zeus, god of the Sea. Polyphemus pulls out the pole out of his eye and goes back to sleep. Odysseus and his men then figure a way out of the cave and run into their ship. As Odysseus and his men are I the ship, Odysseus and Polyphemus trash talk to each other. Odysseus feels too proud of himself that reveals not just his real name, but that he is Laertes's son, raider of cities, the man from Ithaca. Polyphemus runs to his father and begs him to curse Odysseus by not letting him reach home, or if he dos, to lose all his companion.
